Afzal's journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Studies at the prestigious University of Cape Town. With a solid academic foundation, he embarked on a professional career as a Project Manager and Junior Quantity Surveyor, overseeing diverse projects from commercial buildings to upmarket residential developments.
In 2018, a pivotal opportunity emerged when an international legal service provider sought Afzal’s expertise to relocate their offices in Cape Town seamlessly. Rising to the occasion, Afzal not only delivered but also impressed, earning a leadership role to head their Procurement Division.
Since 2019, Afzal has been immersed in the realm of procurement, tirelessly pursuing further education and accreditations while implementing innovative buying strategies to enhance cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
His dedication and expertise have earned him recognition as a member of the globally esteemed Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). JoiningBright Minds Capital Partners (BMCP), Afzal brings his wealth of experience to lead the Procurement Division.
With a focus on expanding his expertise across the United States and beyond, Afzal is poised to elevate BMCP’s procurement practices to new heights of excellence.
